  I would be flattered as long as you weren't the guy that gave me the creeps all through school. Most women are in marriages that could use a little spark and an innocent email from a man who was thinking of them would make most women's week, or even month.
  Do it, but remember, her husband might read it first, so keep that in mind when writing.

  Hello-New Again and Pierced!

  i've posted in the past under the nic, "doubting sister", but i'm no longer doubtful.

  i'm totally convinced, the witnesses are just another religion like any other.

  actually, i consider them a cult, but i think many religions have cultish tendencies anyhow, so i'll refrain from calling them that for now.. because of this site i've been able to see things more clearly and i'm feeling better about leaving.

  Hi Kristen,

  Sorry about your brother, it's really hard to not get depressed when I think about what my brother could have been or how he'd make such a great dad if he were alive now. He always loved children and was a generous guy, he would have made some woman really happy. I'm sure you think those kinds of things too about your brother.

  It's nice to meet you. I hope we can help each other figure some of this stuff out or at least share some words of encouragement from time to time. I know I need this place right now, it's so good to make friends who understand what it was like being so involved in a cult.

  Cool! It really has added a few sparks to my life and even though I'm not ready for any more piercings, I'm really glad I got this one.

  I think I appreciate holidays more than most of my friends since I never got to do them so they'll probably think I'm going overboard, but so what! I love it. I'm going to be Martha Stewart this Thanksgiving and Christmas and make all the extra stuff like a Gingerbread house with sugar glass windows and popcorn balls wrapped in tissue paper, etc. It will be a treat and I'm going to enjoy each and every day to the fullest. I'm so glad to have a place like this and people like you to share this stuff with.

  the internet, does it really matter??

  hi, i have been following some of the discussions about the internet and jw.

  some people think that it seems to make a big difference, that it will seriously reduce wts ranks because people get access to all sorts of information and because they can get in contact with people who maybe have the same doubts and thoughts as themselves.. but how big a difference do you think that the net is making?

  how many people do you think have withdrawns from jw because of infomation or contact achieved over the net?.

  This program works like a charm for us. You can't even perform a search on a search engine for a word that's prohibited. I can add my own list of words for it to block if I want to. I turn it off most of the time these days though.

  I've been writing and working for internet companies for four years now and I always knew there were exjw sites out there, but I always avoided them. Then, when I had some doubts and bad feelings about the "cult" I went straight to those sites. I figured I was going to set my mind straight or find out what I needed to know. Boy, did I find out a lot more than I thought I would.
  All that time and I wouldn't allow myself to look at those websites even though I was and am a strong advocate of the internet.

  So I can't imagine many witnesses taking the time to check out the websites I've recommended via secret slips of paper left anonymously at the hall, but you never know.

  I did too good a job on my husband, he's used to NOT having a christmas tree, etc. so we'll probably do something untraditional as usual anyhow, but it's a lot of fun either way.

  to make it easier for the out of towners (especially the ones driving in from the us), how does everyone feel about having our next get together on a saturday...say saturday, august 18th, starting at 4pm?

  (i'll be working on the 11th and the 25th...).

  I'll be there and yes, Saturday is great. My husband and I will be driving several hours and I hate driving on weekday afternoons near Toronto.

  Any hotels you could recommend in that area or streets I should check for hotels?
